The energy simulation of a building is used to calculate energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as well as to identify areas of energy loss and simulate possible energy performance after targeted improvements.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700\">How is an energy simulation carried out?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Supported by software such as eQuest, HOT2000, SIMEB, OpenStudio and RETScreen, simulation is possible thanks to advanced algorithms for simulating building operation under a variety of conditions, as well as accurate data collection. The models incorporate this detailed information on building design, materials used, HVAC systems and usage patterns. This data is then combined with environmental parameters such as weather and geographical location to obtain an accurate representation of the building&#8217;s energy behavior.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700\">Why use an energy simulation?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Energy simulation can be used to explore different optimization strategies.
