EnerGuide
What is an EnerGuide of Home evaluation?
An EnerGuide evaluation is a service designed to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes.
The evaluation consists of a visit by an accredited energy advisor to establish an EnerGuide rating, indicating the energy performance of the property. A report is also produced, including personalized recommendations to guide you in choosing the improvements or renovations that would save the most energy and money while improving the comfort of your home.
So, before undertaking any renovations, contact us to evaluate which work would be the most profitable, i.e. those that would allow you to reduce your energy costs.
Note that in Quebec, the EnerGuide rating is used in the Rénoclimat program, as well as in the CMHC Green House program. In addition, by participating in one of these programs, you may be able to obtain financial assistance for your energy efficiency improvements.
Buy/Sell house
If you’re looking to buy a home, consider having an energy efficiency evaluation done. The EnerGuide rating will allow you to compare the energy performance of the home you wish to purchase with other similar homes. This will allow you to make a cost-effective choice.
Similarly, if you are selling your home, you can have its energy performance evaluated with the EnerGuide rating system. You will then be able to show your rating and demonstrate to your future buyers all the assets of your property.
